Silvia Hernandes is the Founder of The HR Platform, a consultancy base organization focusing on advising small businesses with Human Resources aspects and individuals with career development.
I bring 20 years of experience in the field of Human Resources working for Fortune 500 organizations including Nestle, Monsanto, DuPont, and Bombardier in the USA and Brazil. Most recently, I held the role of Chief Human Resources Officer for the State of Arizona, leading 90+ Agencies, Boards, and Commissions.
I found the human resources field while in college. I fell in love with every single aspect of it. From the dry compliance and boring paperwork to the interactions with people, conflict resolutions, and organizational growth. It’s been a beautiful journey of learning, great work, and passion.
I was born and raised in Brazil. After my graduation back in 1993, I went to London, England to pursue a dream. I wanted to master the English language and enter the world of business. That was the key for the successful years ahead. I am fortunate to have the career I dreamed of, to have reached the top, and to be an inspiration to so many people. For the past 18 years in the USA, I have been contributing to corporations’ results as well as coaching people on career development.
The HR Platform is my vehicle to continue serving businesses and people in a more personal and tailored way. It is my primary goal to educate small business owners to be out of the “hot seat” when comes to compliance and legalities of an organization, and guide individuals to reach their career goals.
